Oshin was founded in 2017 by Vahe Keushguerian and Swiss-Armenian businessman-philanthropist Vahe Gabrache. Oshin has a remarkable background story, as the winery has dedicated its name to the King of Armenian Cilicia, Oshin, whose coin was included in Vahe Gabrache's exclusive collection. The grapes used for Oshin wine are grown in old and small vineyards of Aghavnadzor village preserved due to the efforts of local farmers. Another 15 ha new vineyards are now cultivated in the village of Getap, and will soon yield grapes for Oshin. Oshin wines are made from Areni and Voskehat varieties deeply rooted in the history and terroir of Armenia are currently considered Armenia's business card. Aging (and in the case of Voskehat, also fermentation) in barrels made of Artsakh oak emphasizes these grape varieties' unique majesty and elegance.
